Gina Collis

Meet the band !

From her early days as a lead vocalist in dance and rock bands to decades of live performances across PA, WV, OH, MD, TN, and Los Angeles, Gina has built a versatile, heartfelt career grounded in a lifelong dedication to music. Her passion for storytelling shines through her many lead and supporting roles in theater and musical productions throughout the years. As a soloist and recording artist, Gina has worked in top studios both locally, TN, and Los Angeles, recording as a solo performer and session vocalist, while her experience in audio and video production, post-production, and voice-over showcases the creative and technical skill she brings to every project.

Kevin DeRose

Kevin DeRose is a highly versatile professional drummer and musician based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania known for his deep pocket, explosive live energy, and genre-bending versatility. With over 47 years of experience, Kevin has shared the stage and recorded with a wide range of artists and performing groups including Tony Janflone, Jr., Mercedez, Network, Backtrack, John Parker Band, Not 2 Old 2 Rock, Zuke, Magic Moments and Churchstreet. His dynamic playing style seamlessly bridges Rock, Funk and Jazz, making him equally comfortable laying down a tight hip-hop groove, driving a high-energy rock track, or swinging through a jazz standard. Kevin studied Music Education/Performance at West Virginia University and Audio and Video Production at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Kevin is also a Music Educator and has also taught private lessons to over 100 students in the Pittsburgh area of all ages. Some of Kevin’s band and artist influences are: Tower of Power, Steely Dan, Toto, Rush, Journey, Kansas, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Neil Peart, Steve Smith, Jeff Porcaro, and David Garibaldi. Kevin plays Yamaha Drums, Zildjian, Sabian, PA Meinl and Wuhan
Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, Vic Firth Drumsticks and Roland Electronic Percussion.

Van Walker

Van is the lead guitar for Shades of Time, but also joins in on lead vocals for many songs.  Van has performed all around the world while in the service, and has also performed with many acts in the Pittsburgh area.

Cal Robol

Cal fills several duties in Shades of Time,  playing keys, guitar, and also backup and lead vocals.  A former Music Teacher and Duquesne Grad, he has a lifelong passion for music, and has studied under some of the musical greats in Pittsburgh, including Joe Negri and Mark Koch.  Cal has been performing around the Pittsburgh area for decades,  as a freelance musician, and with First Cut, Mary and Cal, The Smick Brothers and All Points Bulletin.  

Dan Lauritzen

Dan is a seasoned musician and educator whose career spans more than four decades in the Pittsburgh music scene. A chorus teacher for nearly 30 years, Dan has dedicated his life to developing voices both in and out of the classroom. Since 1983, he has performed as a bassist and vocalist in a wide range of bands, while also establishing himself as a versatile jazz musician, playing in a trio and various jazz ensembles since the late 1990s. His experience includes playing over 50 stage productions, private vocal coaching, and many years of leading worship at his church. Dan brings decades of experience, passion, and musical leadership to every stage he steps on.
